PRESENT OF MPC HOLDING TO INSTITUTE FOR ONCOLOGY AND RADIOLOGY OF SERBIA
The company MPC Holding celebrates 20 years of successful business and on this occasion, on 29th of December, it handed over a present to the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia: a medical vehicle Citroen Jumper for emergency needs. At the press conference, held in the amphitheatre of the Institute, MPC Holding PR coordinator, Mrs. Irena Petrovic, handed over the keys of the vehicle to the director of the Institute, prof. dr Nenad Borojevic, in the presnce of the state secretary of health, dr Tomislav Stantic, which greeted this significant donation on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
According to the words of the director of the Institute, professor Borojevic, the vehicle, the value of which amounts to RSD 2.700.000, will be used for the transportation of severely ill patients from one to another hospital, as well as for the transportation of severely ill patients which it is necessary to provide with transportation to their homes upon the medical consultation. Professor Borojevic and dr Stantic reminded all present persons of the fact that the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia is a national institute equipped with modern diagnostics, treatment and scientific research equipment, and that the vehicle donated to the Institute by MPC Holding would undoubtlessly reinforce the emergency capacities and enable better work of the Institute. Taking into consideration a scary statistics according to which every year 25.000 persons in Serbia gets cancer, and number of patients grows year after year by 3 to 5%, it is evident that the needs of the Institute also grow and that such initiative is really welcome.
MPC Holding on the occasion of this anniversary, and meeting New Year, directed the funds meant for traditional ways of celebration of end of business year to the donation to the largest specialized institution in our country dealing with the treatment of cancer patients.
